If all the benefits of regular exercise were jam-packed into one little pill, the pill would be ground breaking headline news and sell out all over the world.
Unfortunately, its not as easy as that, and until someone invents it, there is no such pill. Instead, we have to give up a small part of our week to get moving.
UK government guidelines recommend that everyone should get around 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of vigourous activity or a mixture of both each week to reap the health benefits of regular exercise which include:
📏 weight control
💔 reduce the risk of heart diseases
🍬 management of blood sugar and levels
😴 improved sleep
💆♂️ improved mood and boosts mental wellbeing
💪 muscular & bone strength ++
🏥 reduces risk of some cancers
👵 reduce the risk of falls
💏 improved sexual health
🏋♀️ live longer
So no matter where you're at with your health at the moment, please remember that everyone has to start somewhere and you can begin to develop a healthy exercise routine today. All it takes is a little bit of planning and motivation and you're away.
