Screen time! đŸ€ł

Consistent looking at screens can have a huge effect on our physical & mental health. While looking at screens can be a fast fix for boredom, it can interrupt our normal thought processes & also lead to physical inactivity.

1) Normally, if you’re looking at a screen you’re sat down & that means you're moving less throughout the day, meaning you're burning less calories through your daily movements

2) Looking at screens before bed can have a detrimental impact on your sleep & can keep your mind active when its meant to be winding down. It can be difficult, but its best to leave your screens 30 – 60 mins before bed

3) Watch out for the content you're looking at, some can have negative effects on your body & mind. There’s plenty of good, useful content out there & finding it just begins with a search

Goal 1ïžâƒŁ: Keep a tab on your screen time. If you feel it’s getting consistently too much, too often, you can use your phone settings & give you a little reminder for when you’re overusing

Goal 2ïžâƒŁ: Do something while you're looking at your screen. Have a stretch, get on an exercise bike, or do something that will help you / someone else tomorrow

Goal 3ïžâƒŁ: Unfollow / uninstall any timewasters & search for some good, productive, interesting content that will help you / someone else out in the future

Goal 4ïžâƒŁ: Set an alarm each day at 9:30pm to turn off your screens for the day

Goal 5ïžâƒŁ: If its past 9:30pm while you’re reading this, place your phone down

Think about your day, what went well?

What could have gone better?

What’s the plan tomorrow?
