The human body is made up of approximately 60% water so keeping a steady intake of water is vital to sustaining your body's healthy natural processes.
These processes include:
š”Regulating your body temperature
š”Protecting organs, tissues, joints, and the spinal chord
š§ Helping brain function (we all need this)
ā£ļøRemoving toxins & waste from the body
š“Aiding digestion
šImproving mood & energy
Without a consistent supply of water, your body becomes dehydrated and this can have negative affects on your body.
Common signs of dehydration:
š¤ÆHeadaches
š±Feeling feint
š½Dark coloured urine
The NHS' Eatwell Guide recommends we drink 6-8 cups of fluid each day and that we avoid high calorie drinks.
Tips for making sure you drink enough water:
ā°ļøPace yourself throughout the day
š°Serve water with your daily meals
š¶Buy a water bottle with targets to hit throughout the day to keep on you
šAdd lemon or lime slices if you don't like the taste
